Etsy fees in 2026, at a glance
These are the fees most sellers pay on every order. Percentages apply to what the buyer pays for the item, shipping and gift wrap, before sales tax.
| Fee | Amount | Charged on |
|---|---|---|
| Listing | US$0.20 per item | Each listing, and again for each extra item sold in one order. Listings renew every 4 months. |
| Transaction | 6.5% | Item price, shipping, gift wrap and paid personalization |
| Payment processing | US 3% + $0.25 · UK 4% + £0.20 · EU 4% + €0.30 · CA/AU 3% + 0.25 (4% for buyers abroad) · IN 5% + ₹25 | The full order total |
| Offsite Ads | 15%, or 12% over US$10K/year, max US$100 per order | Only orders that came from an Etsy ad on another site |
| Regulatory operating | UK 0.48% · CA 0.50% · FR 1.14% · IT 0.80% · ES 0.88% · IN 0.05% and others | Item price, shipping and gift wrap |
| Currency conversion | 2.5% | Orders in a currency different from your bank account |
Example: a $25 tumbler with $5 shipping
A US seller sells one sublimation tumbler for $25 and charges $5 shipping, so the buyer pays $30.
- Listing fee: $0.20
- Transaction fee: 6.5% of $30 = $1.95
- Payment processing: 3% of $30 + $0.25 = $1.15
- Etsy fees: $3.30, about 11% of the order
With a $6 blank and a $4 shipping label, the seller keeps $16.70, a 55.7% margin. If the order came through Offsite Ads at 15%, another $4.50 goes to Etsy and profit drops to $12.20.
How this calculator works
Every percentage fee is applied to the order total the buyer pays, after any discount, before sales tax. The listing fee is charged once per item sold. In Find my price, the calculator searches for the lowest item price that leaves your target profit or margin after all fees and costs.
For shops outside the US, the US$0.20 listing fee and the US$100 Offsite Ads cap are converted with approximate exchange rates, so those two lines can be off by a few cents. Not included: Etsy Ads (onsite), Etsy Plus, Share & Save, deposit fees and income tax.
FAQ
How much does Etsy take per sale in 2026?
For a US shop: a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus shipping and gift wrap, and payment processing of 3% plus $0.25. On a $25 item with $5 shipping that is $3.30, about 11% of the order. Offsite Ads add 12% or 15% when a sale comes from an Etsy ad.
Does Etsy charge fees on shipping?
Yes. The 6.5% transaction fee, payment processing, Offsite Ads and the regulatory operating fee are all charged on the shipping you charge the buyer, not only on the item price.
What price do I need to make a certain profit?
Switch to Find my price, enter your costs and the profit or margin you want, and the calculator works out the item price that reaches it after every Etsy fee.
What are Offsite Ads fees?
When a buyer clicks an Etsy ad on another site and buys within 30 days, Etsy charges 15% of the order, or 12% for shops with over $10,000 in sales in the past 12 months. The fee is capped at $100 per order. Shops under $10,000 can opt out.
What is the regulatory operating fee?
Sellers in some countries pay an extra percentage on each order to cover local digital services taxes. In 2026 it is 0.48% in the UK, 0.50% in Canada, 1.14% in France, 0.80% in Italy, 0.88% in Spain and 0.05% in India, among others.
